Lent 2019: Bearing Fruit

Onalaska UMC’s Lenten sermon series is “Bearing Fruit,” based on Bishop Schnase’s important book Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations: Revised and Updated. John the Baptist calls us to “bear fruit worthy of repentance” (Matthew 3:8). Fruitful churches and people help to make new disciples of Jesus Christ and transform the world. In his extensive update to this influential book, Bishop Schnase looks at five vital ways to be fruitful in our church and community. Our ministry is not just about “come and see,” but also “go and do.”
