For Sunday, June 7, Pastor Park Hunter preaches “Righteous and Unrighteous Anger,” based on Luke 4:16-30. Justice matters, and it demands all of us to speak on behalf of those whose voices are not heard. Sometimes we can be angry for a righteous cause. Pastor Park reflects on racial injustice and the protests sweeping the country. Peace without justice isn’t really peace, and justice without peace isn’t really just.

This is Peace With Justice Sunday. You are invited to designate a gift to support the work of the UMC’s General Board of Church and Society. We will hear God Moments from Reggie Martin-Stanley and Ben Martens.

This is an open communion Sunday. You are encouraged to have bread and juice or wine available at home to join in communion during the service. In the Methodist tradition, all are welcome.

Hymns at the 8:30a Classic service are accompanied on organ and piano by Sandy Koster, Natalie Halderson, and our mini choir. Zoe deBoer and Pam Klinger lead the music team at the 10:30a Praise service.

Onalaska UMC worship services for this Sunday are available only by live stream on our YouTube channel. Please don’t come to church. Instead, stay at home and “praise in place!”
