Church for Sunday, August 16, 2020 (Railroad 3)

“The Wreck of the Old 97,” by Danny Lowe 2019 (available from FineArtAmerica.com)

For Sunday, August 16, Pastor Park Hunter preaches “Heroes at the Post” based on John 15:12-17. When it comes to loving our neighbor, will we stick at our post, or jump off the train? Remembering railroad heroes like Casey Jones or Steve Broady who were willing to lay down their life for others. What would we do for our friends? What did Jesus do? That’s love. This is the third in our August series, “Life Is Like a Mountain Railroad.”

Jessica Gobel leads the children’s time. Erick Hunter sings “The Wreck of the Old 97” for a God Moment.

Sandy Koster and Natalie Halderson lead hymns and special music at the 8:30a Classic service. Zoe deBoer and Pam Klinger lead the music team at the 10:30a Praise service.
