Church Sunday, August 23, 2020 (Railroad 4)

For Sunday, August 23, Pastor Park Hunter preaches “Life is Like a Mountain Railroad” based on Psalm 40:1-18. The old gospel song reminds us that life has its ups and downs just like a train ride through the mountains. Jesus guides us through the dangerous parts and will bring us home to heaven. This is the fourth in our August series, “Life Is Like a Mountain Railroad.”

The puppets join us by Zoom for Children’s Time. Doug Huggett shares a God Moment with special music and testimony. Sean Molstad will update us on his Church History class, and Ben Martens will give us the final report on the Chicken Q.

Sandy Koster and Natalie Halderson lead hymns and special music at the 8:30a Classic service. Zoe deBoer and Pam Klinger lead the music team at the 10:30a Praise service.

Pastor Park refers to a couple of classic train songs in his message. You can watch and listen to Johnny Cash’s “Life’s Railway to Heaven” and Josh Turner’s “Long Black Train” on YouTube.
