Thanksgiving Eve Service 6:30p, November 25, 2020

For our Thanksgiving Evening service Wednesday, November 25, Pastor Park Hunter preaches “Thanks for Everything,” based on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24. Christ challenges us to give thanks for everything: the turkey on the table… and the turkey sitting at the table. Yet when we practice steady rejoicing and ceaseless prayer, God goes to work transforming us into ever-thankful people.

Jessica Gobel shared a Children’s Moment about giving thanks. Rev. Jason Stanton of First Lutheran Church sends greeting. Pastor Park leads a special Thanksgiving prayer meditation.

Special music tonight from Cory Groves, the Noteworthy Bells mini-choir, Barbara Martin-Stanley, and Zoe deBoer and friends.

Onalaska UMC worship services for this Sunday are available only by live stream on our YouTube channel. Please don’t come to church. Instead, stay at home and “praise in place!”

Here’s how to participate…

  • Live stream worship at 6:30p from our YouTube channel.
  • During worship, text prayer requests to 608-304-7214.
  • Give electronically, or contact the office to request mail-in giving envelopes.
  • YouTube Live Chat is available during the service. Say “hi” and let us know you’re worshipping with us! You must be logged in with a Gmail account on your device to use the chat feature.

If YouTube doesn’t work for you, contact our office (608-783-3380 or office@onalaskaumc.org) and we will mail you a copy of the worship slides and the sermon notes the week following.
