Directions

  • North: take Wisconsin SR 35 into Onalaska. Turn left (east) on Locust Street; watch for the small blue United Methodist Church sign at the corner. After you cross 4th Avenue, turn right (south) into the alley beside the blue house to enter our parking lot.
  • South: take Wisconsin SR 35 into Onalaska. Turn right (east) on Locust Street; watch for the small blue United Methodist Church sign at the corner. After you cross 4th Avenue, turn right (south) into the alley beside the blue house to enter our parking lot.
  • East/West: take I-90 into Onalaska. Take exit 3 north on Wisconsin SR 35, then follow the directions for South listed above.
  • Main Street: turn north on 4th Avenue N at the corner by Dickinson Funeral Home. Onalaska UMC is visible one block north behind the funeral home and City Hall.

Parking

Parking is available in three locations. Street parking is available on 4th and 5th Avenues. The main parking lot is accessible in the middle of the block from King Street and Locust Street. This lot has several handicap-accessible parking spots. Additional parking is available in the lower lot at the corner of King Street and 5th Avenue N, and in the city parking lot behind Dickinson Funeral Home.

Entry

The church can be entered through four doors…

  • Office (parking lot) entrance B: open on Sunday mornings, during office hours, and for special events. It is on the east side of the building off the main parking lot, and can be accessed by stairs or handicap ramp. This door leads to the church office and the Heritage meeting room/prayer chapel.
  • East Lobby (parking lot) entrance E: open on Sunday mornings, during office hours, and for special events. It is under the covered drop-off and is handicap accessible. This entrance leads directly into the church lobby and the sanctuary.
  • West Narthex (4th Avenue) entrance C: open on Sunday mornings, during office hours, and for special events. It is on the west side of the building, and is handicap accessible. This door leads directly into the church narthex and the sanctuary.
  • South (King Street) entrance A: open on Sunday mornings and for special events. Head Start uses this door on school days; ring the bell and they will respond. It is on the south end of the building. This entrance is not handicap accessible.
